A North Carolina man’s questionable attempt to spook his wife while on the road has gone viral.

Manny Perez of Winston-Salem was driving to the airport on Saturday with his family when he decided to wake his sleeping wife and trick her into thinking they were on the verge of a serious car accident.

“It was a prank I couldn’t pass up,” Perez told the Daily News.

A truck was being towed in front of the family’s vehicle, and Manny called out and shook his wife awake while he sped toward it, so the 18-wheeler appeared to be barreling toward them.

Manny’s startled wife Sabra is jolted awake and screams until she realizes she was duped and pushes the camera way.
